The Life Learning Project Outline of a Life Learning Course

One of the first tasks to be undertaken by The Life Learning Project is to define precisely what is meant by a Life Learning Course. This is not quite the same thing as defining the syllabus of a specific course, since there are many different ways of achieving the objectives of a Life Learning Course.

What we wish to achieve is a statement of the criteria of what constitutes a Life Learning Course.

In order to develop such a statement, it is probably best to start off with examples topics of what might be in a specific Course, and then see to what extent those can be generalised into "criteria".

Below is a preliminary list of topics which, we hope, will be discussed and expanded on in the Forum. In conformity with the principles of a Life Learning Course stated earlier, this outline is given under the three headings of The Context, The Actor and The Purpose.
