A Life Learning Course combines education (facts,
insights and understanding) and training (practical experience
and skills) designed to help people fulfil their potential for:
A Life Learning Course does not prepare an individual
for any specific role or profession, but rather lays the
groundwork for an individual to:
-
Understand the importance and wider
context of any role or profession, and
-
Be the best they can be in their
chosen role or profession.
The essence of a Life Learning Course
is characterised by three core components:
|
Understanding the Kosmos
(The Context) |
A broad, Integral† education covering the
principles and evolution
of Self, Society, Culture and Life, and providing the context
and framework for all other learning activities.
|
Developing the Individual
(The Actor) |
Initial training and practice - much of which is to be pursued
for life - in all aspects of self development, covering Body,
Mind, Soul and Spirit.
|
Contributing to Society
(The Purpose) |
Education and training - with practical application - for
successfully living in and making outstanding contributions to
society and culture.
Any Life Learning Course must be composed primarily of material covering these
components.
The principles of Integral†
Philosophy can play a very important role not only in
structuring the educational material within the Context
component, but also in providing cohesion and an integrative
framework for the whole Course.
One such principle, which is by no means unique to Integral
Philosophy, is the idea of "developmental levels" and the
evolution of both the individual and of humanity itself.
This Evolutionary Agenda is possibly the most
important facet of a Life Learning Course.
